Semi Private Personal Training

In this small group format (1-4 people), you will enjoy all the benefits of having a private personal trainer but in a shared sort of way which makes it more cost efficient. You will still enjoy the same personalized fitness programming, nutrition and accountability. Better yet, you get to learn how to move your body with a group of people which provides motivation, support and a whole lot of fun.

1-0n-1 Personal Training​

If group training is not your thing, then private training might be the better choice for you. My team will provide you a customized fitness program along with nutrition counseling to fit your needs and help you accomplish your goal. You will therefore get monthly Inbody assessments, personal nutrition coaching along with a monthly physical assessment testing to make sure you are making progress towards your goal. 

Rehabilitation Exercises​

This program is designed for people who may be recovering from some sort of injury or have pains and aches that holds them back from reaching their wellness goals. We have a Physical Therapist on our team and together we will craft a program for you that will take into account your current status with the aim to improve your function gradually and get you ultimately stronger. We are also able to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance coverage for this sort of program.

Youth Athletic Training​

It never hurts to start our young ones early in wellness and to each them that what they put in their bodies and how they perform as athletes go hand in hand. Having two children of my own and realizing how impressionable they are made me realize that this was the opportune time to develop them as athletes while also teaching them how to prevent injuries while playing sports and maximize their potential with proper nutrition.

6 Week Fitness Program​

The 6-week Weight Loss program is specifically designed for the highly motivated individual who wants to meet their goals in a short period of time using the HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) format.

8 Week Fitness Program​

The 8-week Restorative Yoga program is very similar to the 6-week program but with a well-crafted yoga curriculum to achieve the same results for individuals that may not do well with the HIIT format.

12 Week Fitness Program​

Our 12-week Wellness Transformation program is designed for people that may not be able to meet the rigors of either the 6 or 8-week programs and may need a bit more intensive coaching and medical monitoring. This particular program is slower paced and a hybrid of both Yoga and HIIT. We are able to join forces with your Primary Care team and track your labs and other metrics such as your cholesterol level, blood pressure and Hemoglobin A1c (if you’re a diabetic) with them.

A: First, let me say that our fitness studio is not ideal for gym rats or the avid bodybuilder because we don’t have all the heavy weights and equipment you typically see in a normal gym. Rather, we have a very well thought out, curated, selection of essential equipment. I decided to do a fitness studio as part of the wellness spa and primary care practice experience to essentially take the normal, everyday person from the couch to where they can improve their nutrition and their physique with professional support so they can realize a true sense of wellness when those two things are aligned.
A: You can expect to have a tour of our space and then a thorough consultation with one of our trainers. We take a very clinical approach to what we do so depending on what we come up with during that consultation, we may review your health and fitness history, your past and present injuries, a discussion of your objectives and what your goals are. If you are already a patient of the primary care practice, then Dr Elliott will provide a blueprint to the trainer of the training plan he would like you to follow.
A: Our most popular classes are the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes which are a mixture of functional exercises and resistance training. This type of training has been shown to be very effective even when only done for short periods of time. We also provide yoga classes for people at varying levels of fitness and skill and we throw in a Barre class from time to time to activate different muscle groups. Our focus is to get you moving in alignment while simultaneously making sure to reduce the risk of injury.
A: First of all, we have some of the most experienced and successful trainers for you to work with in a bright, clean, open and energetic atmosphere. Our HIIT personal trainers are a duo of Olympic track athletes and they are Khamica Bingham and Damar Forbes of Airborne Sports. As Olympic athletes, they have obviously made it to the top of their field, so coupling their experience with the science and nutrition directed by Dr Elliott, we have a winning combination. Our yoga instructor is Natalie Mancuso who has been practicing and teaching yoga locally for several years and our Barre instructor is Amy Agra, another accomplished lifelong athlete.
A: As a primary care patient of Dr Elliott at the Healthcare Gallery, you are entitled to one free class a week (every week) so you can choose to stick to a particular class or you can use it as an opportunity to try a different class every week until you can settle on which class you like. If you would like to attend more than one class a week, you can choose from one of the many affordable plans we have to kick your fitness into high gear.
A: You would need to download our app “The Healthcare Gallery” from the iTunes store on your iPhone or the Play Store on your Android phone. Once downloaded and signed in, you will have access to the different classes available.
 
Yes, we are using yoga to improve several different musculoskeletal problems right now, one of which is chronic low back pain. Back pain is a very common condition and there have been yoga practitioners in the field who have advanced the art and practice of yoga specifically for this condition. We are still in the early stages of this program but we are seeing that practicing yoga and specifically the different poses have provided relief for some of our chronic back pain patients.

A: Depending on the type of membership plan you choose, we are able to provide you a full service guidance on your nutrition which includes food tracking. Our patients and clients have been super successful using our apps to accomplish their goals and have been able to keep their weight off. In fact, you can read some of their reviews here. What we focus on, will allow you to completely change your life and allow you to fit back into your favorite clothes.

There are several options for individuals who are already performing at high levels. For many, our HIIT training (high intensity interval training) will challenge even the elite athlete. As aforementioned, our HIIT training is conducted by Olympic track athletes as your trainers, so if you want sport-specific training, then we suggest focusing on individual or semi-private personal training with one of those trainers.
We have a proprietary Youth Athletics Speed Program that was designed by and taught by Olympic track athletes themselves. The program is written and performed in 6-week blocks and is broken up into these categories (Beginner – Elementary/ Middle School; Intermediate – Middle/ High School; Advanced/ Elite – High School/ College). For maximum success, it requires attendance at least 2x/ week with each session lasting one hour for the duration of the 6-week block. The program caters to every athlete regardless of which sport they have chosen and ultimately will make them the fastest kid on the team.
A: Rates are entirely dependent upon what type of training or therapy you are interested in and how often you would like to come in. It also matters if you purchase as single sessions or in blocks of multiple sessions. A: Having a primary care doctor you see regularly is key to your overall health. Through regular visits, your PCP gets to know you, your family history, and your lifestyle. You can develop a trusting relationship with your PCP that allows you to talk honestly and openly about your health concerns.

Your PCP helps you stay healthy by providing regular checkups and preventive health care screenings. Your PCP can help you successfully manage life-threatening and “silent” medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes. Your PCP also can connect you to highly trained medical specialists when you need advanced or specialized care. When your care includes treatment from numerous health care specialists, your PCP can ensure you receive the best possible care.

A: Not only can we take care of you like other primary care doctors do, but we take it a step further. We make other recommendations from a wellness perspective such as helping you with improving your nutrition, your sleep hygiene and your physical fitness level.

A: Though we are trained to see children, we have limited our Healthcare Gallery practice to adults 18 years and older at this time.

A: Be open and honest with your physician about what’s going on with your health. Some questions to consider are:

  • Are you experiencing painful or uncomfortable symptoms that interfere with your daily life?
  • Is a medication you’re taking making you sick
  • Do you need help making healthy decisions or lifestyle choices
  • Are you experiencing and having trouble coping with stress, depression or sadness?
  • Are you having trouble sleeping or with your marriage or children?

A: Our office is completely paperless and we respond quicker through electronic communication rather than direct phone calls. As a result, the registration staff will ask you to complete your new patient registration online or through this link: (insert URL). To communicate with the office with regards to appointments requests, med refills or lab updates, we also ask that you download the “Healow” app and use our practice code “JGFDCA” to sign on.

A: Please bring ALL medications or supplements you are taking and a copy of your insurance card and personal identification card. If your insurance requires a co-pay/ deductible, please be prepared to pay that at the time of your visit. We can also collect that copay over the phone prior to your appointment if necessary.

A:  We ask that you contact your pharmacy before your medication runs out to request a refill. They will then initiate a refill request with our office. Please note that any new medications may require a patient visit and that new prescriptions or refills can take up to 72 hours to complete. That said, please always be sure to call your pharmacy several days in advance before your medication runs out.

A: Lab tests, x-ray reports and studies may take up to 5 business days after they have been performed. We advise that if after 5 business days you have not heard back from our office, please log into the “Healow” app or Health Portal on our website, to verify results before calling our office.

A: If you need to schedule an MRI, CT or Nuclear Study, please allow our office 5 – 7 business days to obtain authorization from your insurance company. Insurance companies require medical records from your physician be reviewed by the Insurance Company’s medical staff before an authorization can be obtained.

A : If you need a referral, please schedule an appointment with your physician so information can be gathered so that the medical necessity can be documented prior to the referral being issued. This ensures that your insurance company will approve of the referral. This is the reason most insurance companies require that your Primary Care Physician has seen you prior to being sent to a specialist.

A: Yes, if you are a primary care patient of the Healthcare Gallery & Wellness Spa, you are entitled to attend ONE of our many fitness classes taught every week by local Olympic track athletes at NO COST to you. Should you want to participate in the classes 2-3 times a week along with nutrition tracking, please inquire about our tiered fitness memberships/ subscription.

A: The Health Portal accessed through the “Patient Login” on the website or “Healow” app on your phone/iPad, enables you to communicate with your doctor, nurses and staff members easily, safely and securely from the comfort of your home. It can be used to request non-urgent medical advice, request appointments, obtain visit summaries, order medication refills and access patient education. Use our practice code “JGFDCA” to sign into the organization’s healow app to communicate with our practice. Otherwise, if you have pre-registered with our practice, you should have received a Welcome email with a link in the body of that email. Click on that link and use your email address and password sent to you to connect to the Health Portal. 

A: If you are a patient of our primary care practice, you are entitled to a 20% discount to other non-essential services (services not covered by insurance) at the Spa. This discount applies to facials, massages, laser skin care services, hair removal, skin tightening, etc. **Spa services have been suspended at this time due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

A: More so during this Coronavirus outbreak, it is essential that we limit contact with other persons as much as possible. As a result, ALL our primary care consultations are conducted through telemedicine at this time. A: Please be advised that ALL requests for medical records or forms that need to be completed such as FMLA, Disability and Life Insurance forms are performed by a third party company called Medicopy and may take up to 5 business days to complete.
